School ERP Software Prices in Pakistan: 2026 Guide
What schools actually pay for ERP software in Pakistan: per-student vs flat monthly models, the hidden SMS and migration costs, and where Edutig sits.
A school owner in Faisalabad sent us three quotes last month and asked a fair question: how can the same category of software cost Rs 18 per student at one vendor, Rs 25,000 flat at another, and 'depends on modules' at a third? The honest answer is that school ERP pricing in Pakistan isn't one market. It's three or four pricing models sold side by side, often with the real costs sitting outside the quoted number. We build Edutig, a school management platform, so we have an obvious interest here, and the fairest way to handle that is to lay out what the whole market typically charges, including us, and let you run the arithmetic against your own enrollment.
The Two Models You'll Actually Be Quoted
Most quotes land in one of two shapes. Per-student pricing runs from roughly Rs 15 to Rs 100 per student per month in the current market, with the spread explained by modules, support, and whether a parent app is included. It feels cheap at the bottom of that range until you multiply: a 900-student school at Rs 60 is Rs 54,000 a month, Rs 648,000 a year, and the number grows automatically every time admissions does its job. Flat monthly pricing typically runs Rs 5,000 to Rs 40,000 depending on school size and how many modules are switched on, which is easier to budget but often tiered so that crossing an enrollment threshold bumps you a band anyway. There's a third shape, the one-time license with an annual maintenance contract, usually Rs 200,000 to Rs 1,000,000 up front plus 15 to 20 percent a year, which mostly survives among older vendors and has a habit of turning every change request into an invoice.
The Costs That Never Appear in the First Quote
SMS is the big one. Fee reminders and absence alerts in Pakistan run on SMS, and SMS isn't free: a masked sender ID registration plus a per-message cost of roughly Rs 1.5 to Rs 3 through most gateways. A 600-student school sending eight messages per student per month is spending Rs 7,000 to Rs 14,000 on messaging alone, and plenty of vendors quote the software without it, then connect you to a gateway that bills separately. Onboarding and training is the second: a one-time charge of Rs 25,000 to Rs 150,000 is common, scaled to campuses and staff count. Data migration is the third, and the sneakiest. Your five years of student records, fee histories, and arrears live in Excel or an old system, and getting them into the new one is sometimes 'included,' sometimes a day rate, and sometimes quietly left to your office staff, which is the most expensive option of all because it stalls adoption for a term.
A Realistic Price Picture for 2026
- Small school, up to 300 students: Rs 4,500 to Rs 18,000 a month on per-student plans, or Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 flat; add Rs 2,000 to Rs 7,000 monthly for SMS and a one-time Rs 25,000 to Rs 60,000 for setup - Mid-size school, 300 to 800 students: Rs 18,000 to Rs 60,000 a month per-student, or Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 flat; SMS Rs 7,000 to Rs 15,000; setup and migration Rs 50,000 to Rs 120,000 - Large school or small network, 800 plus: Rs 50,000 to Rs 120,000 a month on per-student models, which is where flat pricing or a license deal starts winning; expect a formal onboarding project rather than a setup fee - One-time license route, any size: Rs 200,000 to Rs 1,000,000 up front, 15 to 20 percent annual maintenance, change requests billed separately These are typical ranges from quotes schools have shared with us, not a formal survey, and outliers exist in both directions.
Where Edutig Sits, Stated Plainly
Our own answer to this market is deliberately simple. Edutig's Starter plan is free forever for schools with up to 100 students, and it's the complete product, not a demo tier. Paid plans are flat monthly and priced in dollars: $11.99 for 101 to 350 students, $23.99 for 351 to 850, and $39.99 for 851 and up, which at current exchange rates works out to roughly Rs 3,400, Rs 6,800, and Rs 11,300 a month. Every tier gets all 92 capabilities and all five portals, so there's no module arithmetic to do, and paid plans include guided setup and data import rather than billing migration as a separate project. The dollar pricing is the honest caveat: if the rupee moves, your bill in rupees moves with it. The full breakdown is on our pricing page, with nothing gated behind a sales call.
How to Compare Quotes Fairly
Whatever vendors you're weighing, force every quote into the same shape before comparing: total cost for your actual enrollment, over three years, with SMS at your real messaging volume, setup, training, and migration included, and the price of leaving written down. That last one matters more than it seems. Ask what format your data exports in if you cancel, and whether the export costs anything. A vendor confident in the product answers in one sentence; a vendor planning to keep you through friction talks about procedures. At Rs 50 per student or Rs 5,000 flat, school software is one of the cheaper line items a school carries. The expensive version is the system the office abandons by March, because then you've paid in money, in time, and in a staff room that will resist the next attempt twice as hard.
